Written by Georges Bizet, Carmen is one of the most well-known operas. It follows the title character as she gains the favor of a soldier, Jose, who is already involved with Micaela all while the bullfighter, Escamillo, tries desperately to catch her attention.

ABOUT THE VENUE
EDWARD W. POWERS AUDITORIUM
Edward W. Powers Auditorium opened in 1931 as the Warner Theatre, built in honor of the late Sam Warner, one of the Warner Brothers who started their movie empire in Youngstown. Today, Edward W. Powers Auditorium is a 2300 seat theater with a stage equipped to host many of today’s touring performances as well as local productions. The Grand Lobby and Spanish Room, both part of the original 1931 building, provide a grand historical location for many events.
THE DEYOR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
The DeYor Performing Arts Center features the Edward W. Powers Auditorium, Ford Family Recital Hall, the Eleanor Beecher Flad Pavilion, and the Adler Art Academy. The Center is a great location for events of all types including theater, concerts, recitals, weddings, banquets, and business events. The DeYor Performing Arts Center is also the home of the
Youngstown Symphony Orchestra.
